AO Thiras – Panathinaikos 0-3: Easy qualification to the Cup final for the Greens

Panathinaikos confirmed the title of favorite and qualified for the women’s volleyball cup final. The Greens won a set 3-0 against AO Thiras and meet the winners of AEK – PAOK on Saturday night.

Panathinaikos went into the game in earnest and managed to get the game where it wanted from the start. With serve pressure and net dominance, he easily managed to win.

The trio of Anae, Anthoulis, Hatziefstratiadou did a good job in attack, while in general none of the Greens fell behind.

On the other hand, Mercado fought as hard as she could on her own while both Ketzmann and Langegger were having a bad day.

The race: In the first set, the two teams continued point by point until the 6-7. From there, Panathinaikos, with a multitude in attack and an excellent block, managed to build up a difference and easily go 1-0 at 25:21.

In the second set we had a bigger fight as AO Thiras held out until 15-16. At this point, Panathinaikos went on a 10-3 run to finish the second set 25-18.
