Men’s Volleyball League: The semi-final pairings
With the conclusion of the regular season, the fixtures for the semifinals of the Men’s Volleyball League Playoffs were announced.
Olympiacos SFP – AONS Milos And PAOK – Panathinaikos AO are the playoff semifinals. Qualification for the final is based on 3 wins.
To close the regular season and formally, PAOK’s game against Olympiakos has to take place on March 18th. What is the announcement for places 1-4 (semifinals) and finals of the championship playoffs of the Volley League:

Playoffs 1-4
SEMIFINALS
- The teams ranked 1st through 4th in the final regular season standings will advance to the playoffs as follows:
- The first the regular season standings will compete with the 4The team the regular season rankings and the 2O compete against each other in the regular season standings with the 3The Association the regular season rankings.
- Teams will compete against each other until they have achieved three (3) wins (not including regular season results).
- The matches will be played alternately at the headquarters of the participating teams.
- The first game will be played at the home stadium of the team that finished highest in regulation time, the next game at the home stadium of the team that finished lowest in regulation time, and so on.
- The team that arrives first 3 wins reaches the final of Volley League 2022-2023 in the above games.
- The two winners of the semi-finals will advance to the FINAL matches to achieve 1st and 2nd place in the final rankings. The losers are ranked 3-4 according to their regular season position (3rd place team that had highest regular season position, etc.)
FINAL
- The winning teams of the semi-finals compete against each other for 1st and 2nd place.
- The finals for 1st and 2nd place will be played until the occupation three (3) victory (NOT including regular season results).
- The Endgames they take turns in the team seats who fight in them.
- The first game will be played at the home stadium of the team that finished highest in regulation time, the next game at the home stadium of the team that finished lowest in regulation time, and so on.
- The first team to achieve 3 wins in the above games will be declared the 2022-2023 Volley League Champion Team.
HEADQUARTERS – FIELDS
- For cost and travel reasons, the participating teams have the opportunity to ask the championship committee to conduct the games as follows:
- The first two (2) matches of the final tournament will be played at the home stadium of the team that finished highest in regular time, the next two (2) at the home stadium of the team that finished lowest in regular time Regular Period and the fifth game (if required) in the home game of the team that finished highest in the Regular Period.
- In the 1st-2nd place finals and in a 2-2 win, the final and deciding game can be played in the region’s largest sports hall, which is home to the superior team, as long as the home team agrees. This high school is secured through actions of the home team and ESAP.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Moscow MSTU in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 3–2 (25:21, 20:25, 25:23, 23:25, 15:10) in favor of the guests.
Lokomotiv scored 44 points and ranks second in the Super League standings, MSTU (6 points) is 16th.
In other matches of the day, the Gazprom-Ugra club beat Dynamo-Ural from Ufa at home (3–0, 26:24, 28:26, 25:21), Nizhny Novgorod Gorky lost away to Orenburg (0–3, 28:30, 11:25, 25:27), Belogorye took victory over Yaroslavich in Tula (3–0, 25:17, 25:15, 25:22).
In the Women’s Super League, Minsk in the away match of the 17th round defeated the Zarechye-Odintsovo team with a score of 3-2 (15:25, 22:25, 25:21, 25:15, 15:7).

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
In other matches of the day, Zenit Kazan beat Krasnoyarsk Yenisey at home – 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 25:27, 25:20), the Dynamo-LO club (Sosnovy Bor) defeated Kemerovo Kuzbass at home – 3-0 (25:15, 25:19, 25:20).
The leader in the table is Zenit Kazan (16 wins, 45 points), Zenit from St. Petersburg (14 wins, 43 points) is second.
