The four championships in the men’s volleyball tournament were completed when Olympiakos defeated Milonas 3-0 sets in Rentis, Pegasus Polichnis caused an upset in the tiebreak against OFI and PAOK defeated the struggling Kerkis Samos 3-1 sets.
Finikas Syros in the Greek Men’s Cup Final Four is followed by Olympiacos, Pegasus Polichnis and PAOK, whose victories in the quarter-finals completed the four teams set to win the cup.
Olympiakos had no trouble against Milonas, who prevailed 3-0 indoors at Rentis. The only moment the Red-Whites came under pressure was in the second set, which they barely won (26-24).
The surprise came from Thessaloniki, where Pegasus defeated Polichnis, a pre-league team, OFI, who play in the men’s volleyball league. The hosts continue to impress after the great game in which they eliminated Kifissia and claim promotion to the big category. Now they have an opportunity to win the Greek Cup after winning the tie-break (3-2 sets).
Finally, PAOK had a tough time against fighter Kerkis Samos, but in the end they won by 3-1 sets, ending the four of the Final Four. Despite being tied 1-1 after a shocking set (31-29), Dikefalos managed to regain the lead to claim the win in the four sets.
