Volley League Playoffs: Step for Athlos Orestiada, easy three points for Pegasos

Athlos Orestiada defeated OFI 3-0 sets in the first game of the playoffs and has absolute advantage to remain in the Volley League as he managed to escape 8 points from the Cretans and secured one in the 5 remaining games in the playoffs to have distance.

Dariel Albo was the main star of the game, scoring 17 points with 16/27 completed attacks. We only saw a fight in the second set where the two teams went point by point but in the end Athlos managed to conquer it.

Easy victory for Pegasus

Mathematically, however, he will need two more points in the 5 games he has to give up in the playoffs as he has 23 points compared to OFI’s 9.

Aristotelis Skydras now has mathematical hopes of staying after Athlos’ 3-0 set win over OFI. Athlos has 17 points, Aristotelis has 4 points and if the Orestiada team gets 3 more points, the Skydra team will also be mathematically relegated.
