Women’s Volleyball League: These are the playoff and playout pairings

PAOK – Aris, AEK – AO Markopoulou, Panathinaikos – ASP Thetis and Olympiacos – AO Thiras are the pairs of the 1st phase of the Women’s Volleyball League playoffs.

In the first phase of the playoffs, the teams ranked 1-8 play against each other in two games (home-away). The home team of the first game is the team that ranks lowest in the final standings of phase 1.

In the event that both competing teams achieve a win, a score will be established in the two games between them as provided in Article 17 of this Gift (3 points for a 3-0 or 3-1 set win, 2 points for a win by 3-2 sets, 1 point for a 2-3 sets loss and 0 points for a 1-3 and 0-3 sets loss). If they are tied with that score, a Golden Set (Golden Set-Tie Set) will be held at fifteen (15) points after the end of the 2nd game.

The winners of Phase 1 advance to the semi-finals, while the losing teams play no more games and finish 5th through 8th in the final rankings, according to the order in which they finished against each other in the final rankings of the Phase 1 Championship.

The winners of Play-Off Matches 1-8 compete until two wins are achieved. Matches will be played alternately at the home of the teams, starting with the home of the highest-scoring team.

To determine the home ground of the first game, the final ranking of the teams in phase 1 is taken into account for each position. The championship final is three wins.

In the playoffs, Ilysiakos AO who took 9th place meets 12th ZAON have the advantage of headquarters, while 10th AO Lamias 2013 will face Aegaleo who took 11th place. The two victories will decide who will remain. The two losing teams are relegated to the Women’s Pre League.
