PAOK – Panathinaikos 3-0: Glorious Dikefalos defeated the greens and qualified for the final
PAOK put on another great performance, winning a set 3-0 against Panathinaikos and qualifying for the Men’s Volleyball League final where they will face Olympiakos.
The pairing in the final of the men’s Volley League became known, in which PAOK defeated Panathinaikos 3-0 and faced Olympiakos.
Dikephalos was superb for another game, the Greens fought as much as they could, but in the final it was Milenkoski’s players who were smiling.
The match: Weaponized by Rapti’s serve, PAOK managed to walk away by four points (7-3), but the Greens managed to collect the difference and take a 12-13 lead.
PAOK responded with an 8-4 of their own to take the lead 20-17 and 24-21, the greens were reduced to a point but Alexandros Raptis finished the first set 25-23.
In the second set, the picture was similar. PAOK came back strong, building a four-point lead, but Panathinaikos quickly reduced to fall to one point, 14-13.
The sequel, however, belonged entirely to Two-Headed. PAOK went on an 11-5 run to close the set 25-18 and make it 2-0.
We had an even bigger derby in the third set where Panathinaikos played everything to stay alive but in the final PAOK was the one who had the solutions to make the 3-0 set.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
