Pegasus secured his place in the men’s volleyball league, OFI won and hopes

Pegasos Polichnis defeated Athlos Orestiadas 3-1 sets. Completing the first round of playouts, he earned 26 points and secured his place in the Volley League. Athlos stayed at 20 points and has a ‘cushion’ of five points ahead of OFI who follows at 15.

Pegasos Polichnis played a more controlled volleyball with a solid shot and far fewer errors than Athlos. They were the team that knew what they wanted on the pitch and it showed in the 1-1 set-up.

On the contrary, the Orestiada team, although more efficient in service (scored 13 aces compared to 9 from Pegasus), caused a lot of stress, easily made the mistake in reception and on offense Albo and Genov barely won the points.

OFI won and hope

OFI received valuable three points from the condemned Aristotelis Skydras and together with the defeat of Athlos Orestiadas by Pegasos Polichnis reduced the difference between them to five points. The Cretans have 15 points and Athlos have 20 left with three games remaining, all of which will be decided.

OFI was excellent in the first two sets, avoiding the many mistakes made by Aristotle and being superior in both block and counterattacks. Crete team had a big difference in score in the first two sets. Aristotelis fell in the third set but OFI managed to end the game 25-22 in the fourth set.
