Temporary suspension in Panathinaikos – Olympiacos due to exhaust fumes, the stadium has been evacuated

Panathinaikos’ game against Olympiakos was temporarily halted before the start of the fourth set when a smoke detector in the stands went off before the third set was over. The referee called for it to be erased immediately and as soon as that was done and the third set was over, he called for the field to be evacuated.

The first Women’s Volleyball League final match between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos in Agios Thomas was temporarily suspended before the start of the fourth set.


Shortly before the end of the third set and when the score was 23:19, a smoke generator was lit in the stands. Referee Mylonakis asked to turn off the smoke generator. After the smoke generator went out and the third set was over, the referee called for the court to be evacuated.


The two missions temporarily retired to their dressing rooms. The time limit set by the referee is 23:45. After that, the stadium was evacuated and the game resumed.
