Chaos and wood A fan hit a player and a coach at a volleyball match in Patras
The volleyball game in Patras between Ermis and Patra Volley’s team was dramatic when a fan invaded the court and hit the home team’s assistant coach.
The scenes that took place were tragic in the National Sports Hall “K. Petropoulos” in Patras during the volleyball game between Hermes and Patras Volleyball.
Ermis turned things around in the third and final final of the 2nd National Men’s Volleyball of ESPEP playoffs, winning 3-2 sets and celebrating the championship win.
But the match was marred by bad things that happened in the 4th set when Hermes was ahead 23-20.
One Ermis player in particular approached the stands and celebrated vigorously when one of the fans hit him, creating a lot of excitement.
Then another fan entered the field and beat Hermes assistant coach Nikos Kordos while almost hitting Giorgos Christopoulos as well.
The game was suspended for about 20 minutes while the police entered the national sports hall “K. Petropoulos” was called.
Afterwards, Nikos Kordos was taken to hospital in a police car to undergo tests as he was on the pitch when he received the blow. In fact, according to his own statements, he should file a lawsuit.
