Nikolas Papagelopoulos returned to Panathinaikos after 15 years with the shamrock to officially announce the acquisition of the 34-year-old centre-back.

Nikolas Papagelopoulos returned to Panathinaikos after 15 years with the shamrock to officially announce the acquisition of the 34-year-old centre-back on Monday (22/5) at 12.00 CET.

The relevant announcement states:

“Panathinaikos Athletic Club announces the start of its collaboration with Nikola Papagelopoulos for the 2023/24 competitive season for men’s volleyball division.

In another important transfer step, the association took over the Greek center Nikolas Papagelopoulos.

The 34-year-old (2.04 m) centre-back returns to the “Cloverleaf” and will use his experience and quality to strengthen the department in achieving national and European goals.

In his statement on www.pao1908.com, Nicholas Papagelopoulos said:

“After 15 years, I am returning to Panathinaikos and I am particularly honored that I will be a member of a great and traditional force in Greece and that I now have many and intense experiences in all these intervening periods to contribute to our efforts in Greece can.” and Europe, as always, I give 100%.

I would like to thank the Panathinaikos management and coaching staff for their trust in me, who make a very strong team with particularly well-timed plays and prove that they want to bring Panathinaikos back to the top.
