Men’s Olympic volleyball: Castellani is the new coach of the red and white team
Argentinian Daniel Castellani will be Alberto Giuliani’s replacement on the bench for the Olympiacos men’s volleyball team.
Olympiacos brings a coach with a great CV to our country. The red-whites chose Daniel Castellani to replace Alberto Giuliani.
The 62-year-old Argentina coach has worked in most of the top leagues and has also been on the bench for several national teams.
He is currently the coach of Argentina women’s national team while his last team collectively was Fenerbahce where he had Hidalgo as a player they are expected to work with again.
His greatest honor was undoubtedly winning the 2009 European Championship with Poland, where he played, among others, Pavel Zagoumni, who played for Panathinaikos.
Since then he has won championships Argentina, Turkey, Brazil, Poland, but also the Challenge Cup 2014 with Fenerbahce.
