Olympiacos announced Giuliani’s divorce
Alberto Giuliani has officially retired from the Olympiacos men’s volleyball team.
Alberto Giuliani has officially retired from the Olympiacos men’s volleyball team. The Italian coach took over the helm of the Red and Whites in January 2022 and led the Piraeus team to winning the Challenge Cup and championship that year.
The 59-year-old coach was on a contract at Olympiakos but received a tempting offer from Bulgarian club Hebar and it was decided to part ways. Giuliani’s replacement on the Piraeus bench will be Argentina’s Daniel Castellani.
The announcement in detail:
“OLYMPIACOS SFP announces the end of its partnership with Alberto Giuliani. The Italian coach, who took over the technical direction of the club’s men’s volleyball team in January 2022, has brought significant success to our club. The 59-year-old coach guided the teams to his third European title this season, winning the Challenge Cup in a jam-packed SEF and winning the Volley League championship. OLYMPIACO SFP sincerely thanks Alberto Giuliani and wishes him the best of luck in his career.”
