PAOK Men’s Volleyball: The Amazing Kokkinaki’s Partnership Renewal Video
PAOK Amateur announced the renewal of its partnership with Menelaus Kokkinakis in a separate video.
Menelaus Kokkinakis remains based in Thessaloniki for the fourth year, with PAOK announcing the extension of the collaboration between the two sides.
In fact, the black and white team uploaded another video to formalize the cooperation between the two sides.
More specifically, PAOK’s announcement states: “PAOK and the Men’s Volleyball Department announce the renewal of cooperation with athlete Menelaus Kokkinakis for the 2023-2024 season.
The leading Greek libero wears black and white for the fourth straight season and also has last year’s Greek Cup proud in his collection.
As in the 2021–22 season, he was also ranked in the top 7 men’s volleyball league in the 2022–23 season, contributing to the course of PAOK with both his competitive qualities and personality.
On the renewal of the cooperation with PAOK, Menelaus Kokkinakis stated on the association’s official website, acpaok.gr:
“I’m very happy that the team has placed their trust in me for the fourth time in a row, and that says a lot!” I’m staying in a team that tries to improve year after year and that raises sporting expectations, what a team athlete is beautiful. I’ll be back here to do my best on the field with the ultimate goal of winning the best course possible and the titles. We will work to be able to play beautiful and fun volleyball that people will love to see!”

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
