Belarusian Shakhtar from Salihorsk will take part in the upcoming season of the Russian Volleyball Championship among men’s teams, said Alexander Yaremenko, Secretary General of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF).
– Shakhtar Soligorsk will take part in the Russian Volleyball Championship. Tyumen refused to play with us, so we are waiting for our Belarusian friends, ”the Match TV website quotes Yaremenko as saying.
Shakhtar from Soligorsk won the Belarusian championship seven times. The team has won the Cup and the Super Cup five times.
Earlier, the director of VC Tyumen, Roman Fitsak, said that the team would not move to the Super League due to the arena’s non-compliance with the requirements of the VEF regulations and the lack of additional funding. The Tyumen club will continue to play in the Premier League.
