Dimitris Paleologos, 80, in Kalamata
Dimitris Paleologos, 23, has been announced by Kalamata 80 as they continue their transfer promotion.
Kalamata 80 made another transfer move after their promotion to the Volley League. Following the transfers of West, Alexakis and Koenen, the Messinian team added 23-year-old diagonal player Dimitris Paleologos to their squad.
He has been a player of Panathinaikos minor teams since 2013 while he was a member of Dimitris Andreopoulos’ team that won the league and Nikos Samaras League Cup in 2019/20 season.
His last stop was with the Foinikas Syros team and now he’s packing his bags for Kalamata.
The announcement in detail:
The administration of our association is very pleased to announce the beginning of our collaboration with the athlete Dimitris Palaiologos. Dimitris plays diagonally and is 192 cm tall.
The 23-year-old athlete has played for Panathinaikos, AS Kerkis, AOP Kifisia, Aristotelis Skydras and Phoinikas Syros, among others, and won the championship with the Panathinaikos team.
We wish Dimitris a good racing year and good health.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.
