Return to training after 5 days of quarantine with negative PCR for asymptomatic athletes
The new updated protocol for athletes, which went into effect December 31, calls for the return of asymptomatic athletes who tested positive for coronavirus after five days of negative PCR training and eleven days without testing.
On December 31st, the new updated protocol for athletes in Greece came into effect, allowing for the return to training of asymptomatic Athletes who tested positive for the coronavirus after five days of training. This development shortens the time in which athletes are excluded from competition and is intended to help conduct competitions in all sports and championships.
What the authorities have decided essentially wants an asymptomatic athlete in Greece who has been registered as a Covid-19 case to be able to get back into training after five days of quarantine and of course with a negative PCR test. The same athlete can return to normal rhythms without testing, as long as they wait 11 days and show no symptoms of the virus.
The Super League even wanted to present the updated instructions for the coronavirus testing process in an official announcement, stressing:
“For the full information of all fans, regardless of collective preference, and on the occasion of the outbreak of the pandemic, the Super League is presenting the data on the updated instructions on the COVID-19 control process and case management in sport to the General Secretariat for Sport.
Strict adherence to the updated instructions on the COVID-19 control procedure and case management in sport of the General Secretariat for Sport is a basic requirement for the implementation of the games in accordance with the instructions of the responsible bodies (GGA, Health Committee), it becomes clear that the protection of the The health of everyone involved is a primary concern of the Super League.
The successful implementation of the GGA protocol by all Super League teams can be seen in the fact that out of a total of 105 games out of 15 games so far (this season) only 3 games have been postponed, i.e. only 2.8%.
The updated instructions for the COVID-19 control process and case management in sport by the General Secretariat of Sport are posted on GGA’s official website, https://gga.gov.gr/, which anyone can refer to.
The instructions define the required procedures that all PAEs must follow. Participation in the games of the Super League Interwetten Championship season 2021-2022.
In short, it refers, among other things, to the General Secretariat of Sport’s updated instructions on the COVID-19 testing process and case management in sport that “if the team detects new cases in athletes during the last 4 or more” two tests before the Race (“cumulative), then the game will be postponed. Dynamo-Ak Bars volleyball players won the Russian Super Cup for the fourth time
The Kazan team Dynamo-Ak Bars beat Zarechye-Odintsovo in the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among women’s teams.

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated Novosibirsk “Lokomotiv” in a match of the Russian championship
Zenit from St. Petersburg beat Novosibirsk Lokomotiv in a match of the Russian Volleyball Championship among men’s teams.
The meeting took place on Sunday in St. Petersburg and ended in victory for the home team with a score of 3–0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:22).
Zenit scored 32 points and ranks fourth in the standings, Lokomotiv (33 points) is third.
On Tuesday, Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk announced the extension of the contract with head coach Plamen Konstantinov until the end of the 2027/28 season.
In another match of the game day, Orenburg defeated MSTU – 3-0 (25:18, 25:14, 25:19).

“Zarechye-Odintsovo” and Kazan “Dynamo-Ak Bars” will play in the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
The Zarechye-Odintsovo volleyball players defeated Lokomotiv Kaliningrad in the semi-finals of the Russian Super Cup.
The meeting took place on Saturday and ended with the victory of Zarechye-Odintsovo in a tiebreaker – 29:27, 28:30, 25:20, 14:25, 16:14.
In the other semi-final, Kazan Dynamo-Ak Bars defeated St. Petersburg Leningradka with a score of 3–0 (25:18, 25:15, 25:16).
The final will take place in Kaliningrad on Sunday, December 21.
Previously, the trophy was played between two teams – the winner of the Russian Championship and the winner of the Russian Cup; this year the format was expanded to four clubs.
