Hidalgo for Vezenkov: “Congratulations brother, Olympiakos friends will miss you very much”
The departure of Sasha Vezhenkov from Basketball Olympiacos Piraeus left a huge void in the entire red-white organization. Last year’s Volley League leading winger Salvatore Hidalgo bid him farewell with a doting message.
Sasha Vezhenkov agreed to the Sacramento Kings’ big offer to spread his wings and fly to the other side of the Atlantic, and Olympiacos lost a player who could only be lost to the NBA after an excellent collaboration both sides had had in recent years.
Of course, the loss of the Bulgaria international and last year’s Euroleague MVP left a huge void in the entire red-white family and you can understand that by Salvatore Hidalgo’s “reaction” when last year’s Volley League’s top winger congratulated him on the enormous challenge he faced.
