29-year-old international libero player Marialena Artakianou will play for Olympiakos in the 2023/24 season.
The international libero Marialena Artakianou (1994, 1.70 m) will wear the jersey of Olympiacos in the coming season.
The 29-year-old athlete spent most of her career between Iraklis and AO Thiras while competing at AEK last season.
“I am very happy about my move to the Olympiakos team. I will try to do my best and by working hard on the field we will be able to lead the team to the titles again. I think this year’s championship will be more competitive, so we need the people who are by our side. I thank the coach and the team for the chance and the trust they have in me! I wish us all a year full of success and health.”Artakianou said about her move to the Red-Whites.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.
