Olympiacos have announced Vaiopoulos for the new season

Vangelis Vaiopoulos will officially continue his career in the Olympiakos volleyball team, as the red-white team announced on Friday (14/7).

Olympiacos announced on Friday (14/7) the start of its collaboration with Vangelis Vaiopoulos, whoHe has competed in OFI for the past two seasons.


The announcement in detail:

OLYMPIAN SFP announces the start of its collaboration with Vangelis Vaiopoulos. The Greek center (born 11/03/1997, 2.03 m) signed his new contract and joins the squad of the club’s men’s volleyball team.

In the last two seasons, the 26-year-old center played at OFI, from 2019 to 2021 he played abroad, in Hungary (Kecskemet) and Austria (Union Volleyball Raiffeisen Waldviertel). In the 2019/20 season he became the best blocker of the Hungarian league and cup with Kecskemet’s jersey.

The statement of Vangelis Vaiopoulos on olympiacossfp.gr: “It is my great pleasure and honor to be part of this huge team and family of Olympiacos now! It’s a great opportunity and motivation for me as a sportsman to fight for the colors of Olympiacos.” Olympiacos, along with my new senior teammates and coach Castellani. I want to thank the President and the coaching staff for their faith in me. For my part, I will use 100% of my skills to help the team achieve their goals. I hope and invite the Olympiakos fans to be with us on the pitch and to give inspiration from the stands throughout the season. I wish us a year without injuries, lots of wins and trophies.”
