Women’s Olympic Volleyball: Big reinforcement with Mleinkova
The Olympiakos women’s volleyball team announced the acquisition of 27-year-old Czech winger Mikaela Mlejkova.
The corresponding announcement in detail: “OLYMPIC SFP announces the start of its partnership with Mikaela Mlejkova. The international Czech winger (b. 26.7.1996, 1.85 m) has signed her new contract and joins the squad of women’s volleyball club.
Last season, Mikaela Mleinkova played for Sigorta Shop in Turkey, while in 2021/22 she joined from France and played for Volero Le Cannet, with whom she emerged as the best winger in the league and cup. In 2015–18 and 2020–21, the Czech winger played in Germany with Allianz MTV Stuttgart while he also spent two years (2018–20) in Poland where he played for DevelopRes SkyRes Rzeszów. The new athlete from Thrylos started her career at VK TU Liberec (2010–11), while in the four years 2011–15 she competed in another Czech team, PVK Olymp Praha.
Mikaela Mlejkova is the captain of the Czech national team, with which she won the European Golden League in 2019, while she was the top scorer at the World Cup with the U19s in 2015.

Volleyball players of Kazan “Zenith” won the Russian Super Cup for the 11th time
Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv became the first finalist of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:13, 30:28).
In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
