Olympic Volleyball: start of the women’s and men’s seasons

Olympiacos men’s and women’s volleyball teams held their first training session at Melina Merkouri.

After both the men and women started work on Monday afternoon (September 04), we completed a double first training session in the Olympiakos volleyball sections.

Men made the start. New coach Daniel Castellani, as well as internationals Raphael Koumentakis, Dimitris Tzurich, Alain Pagenk and Tonsek Stern (they will be integrated in the next period) were absent from Olympiacos’ “first” team in Rentis, while Dragan Travitsa was “present”.

A little later, the women’s volleyball team also completed their first training session under the leadership of Spyros Saranditis. Coach Lorenzo Micelli and international athletes Mikaela Mleinkova, Jas Nizetich and Bianca Fariol were absent from the “first” team of Olympiakos in Rentis (they will be integrated in the next period), while Gina Lambrussi, Militsa Koumboura, Julia Carraro, Melina Emmanuilidou, Maria Tsitsigianni, Emily Constantellou, Konstantina Vlahaki, Evangelia Tanis, Marialena Artakianou, Ifigenia Sampatis, Paraskevi Zafiriou and Valia Dagre. The Thrylos athletes were welcomed by team manager Nikos Katsiouras in the closed Rentis, while General Manager Yiannis Dalezios spoke on the management side.
