Men’s Volleyball League: Olympiakos beat Milonas 3-1 to stay in the hunt for Panathinaikos
Olympiakos defeated Milonas 3-1 to remain two points behind Panathinaikos in the men’s Volley League title fight.
Olympiakos again did his duty to the fighter Milonas and took the three point that kept him at -2 and within firing range of the champion Panathinaikos. The Red-Whites defeated Nea Smyrni’s team 3:1 with a few mistakes and superiority in block and attack.
Alberto Giuliani’s team got 26 points three rounds before the end against 28 of Panathinaikos who will host Melina Mercouri in the penultimate game of the derby that will decide much about the title. Olympiacos is still away from home with PAOK and the last game with Kifissia in Zirineio.
Olympiacos’ top scorer was Tepan with 18 points, but Pajenk and Mikhailovich showed very good performances. Of Milonas, Kaislasalo, Brian and Maciei stood out in the block.
