ESAP announced that no free participation card will be granted and that the men’s volleyball league of the 2023/24 season will be played with nine teams. In fact, the draw is scheduled for September 25th.
The nine teams: Olympiacos, PAOK, Panathinaikos, Milos, Kifissia, Finikas, Pegasos Polichnis, Athlos Orestiadas, AO Kalamata 80.
The announcement:
“ESAP announces that at today’s Extraordinary Board Meeting it has unanimously decided not to grant a free entry card for the period 2023/2024 as recent developments indicate that together with the Association (whom we thank for their support) we are working towards the Attempting to hold the new championship with ten competitive and well-funded teams (and using criteria that are as objective and measurable as possible) was not given due credit.
Together we continue to put all our weight into the smooth running of our new championship, which is set to be drawn on September 25th in Kalamata and which we promise will be better than any other year.
At the same time, we are committed to making all the necessary institutional and regulatory interventions so that the next 2024/2025 championship will be held with twelve teams, provided that they can field up to five foreign athletes.” .
