Milo will be tested with the Swiss champion Sonsenwert in the CEV Cup
On Wednesday evening (October 25th), Milos welcomes the Swiss champions Sonsenvert for the first game between the two teams in the CEV Cup.
Milonas will make its debut in the European Cup of the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, October 25th at 8:00 p.m. (live streaming milon tv – Volleyball League) against the Swiss Sonsenwert, who are Swiss champions.
This is the first game of the A qualifying phase of the CEV Cup. Sonsenwert earned a 3-2 set win against Amrisville in the Swiss League derby and appears to be in good shape.
In its composition, the key figures are the Sri Lankan international Mahela Indivara Jayala Arachige and the Norwegian center Peter Alstad Estvik. There is also the young Latvian Laitis Vels, but he is not in the main team. Overall they are a strong team, but are within the boundaries of Milos. However, he relies on the two Swiss national players. Winger Luka Urlich and passer Petro Kaiger.
New Smyrna’s team has no official games compared to the Swiss team, but has the home advantage and homogeneity that was maintained with the base of last year’s team.
“We face the Swiss champions. They are a good, solid team that has played many European games. We are in good shape. We expect a difficult and demanding game. We have prepared well and want to play a strong game. “In the doubles matches, qualification is decided in the second game, but the foundation is clearly laid from the first game,” said Sakis Psarras, making an appeal to the residents of Neosmyrnia and the Friends of Milos.
The match referees will be Montenegrin Slobodan Kovacevic and Turkey’s Sekin Gener.
