Kerkis: “We will wait for ASEAD’s decision, until then we will not compete in the Pre League”
The Kerki Samos administration issued a statement emphasizing that it will wait for ASEAD’s decision on its appeal against ESAP and will not compete in the Pre League until then.
Kerkis Samou spoke harshly towards EOPE and ESAP regarding the non-granting of a wildcard for his participation in the Volley League.
In it he emphasizes that he will wait the ASEAD’s decision on his appeal against ESAP and that he will not compete in the Pre League until then.
The corresponding communication in detail: “According to the latest developments and in particular both our unfortunately still unanswered application complaint from October 2nd, 2023 to the Minister of Sports and the GSA, as well as the decision of October 22nd, 2023 from the single court. The first instance of Athens rejected the application for a decree an interim injunction against the illegal decisions of the ESAP and EOPE boards. The KERKI board decided that it was not worth spending huge amounts of money to legitimize with its presence an implausible championship organized by a stalwart PRE-LEAGUE TEAM WITHDRAWAL STATEMENT REVOKED – THAT STARTS THE PRELEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP WITHOUT ANALYZING HOW MANY TEAMS THEY WILL PROMOTE – WHAT DOES ESAP TOLERATE NOT COMPUTING LY WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF EOPE AND THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW VOLLEYLEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, OH NE DETERMINING HOW THE DANGEROUS INCREASE IN TAP WILL BE IMPLEMENTED, WHERE-WHERE…!
Although a political intervention by the sports management was necessary – albeit belatedly – in order for the sports institutions to function and legitimacy to be restored in the volleyball field, to date we have only received the meeting of the EOPE administration, accompanied by the Legal Service of the , in a particularly friendly one Atmosphere with Mr. VROUTSI, who, contrary to his announcements about the recognition and support of island associations, not only deigned to answer us, but did not even meet us
We reiterate that we are not asking for political favors, but rather demanding the implementation of laws and regulations by the relevant authorities.
For this reason and because we only trust the Greek judiciary, we are now just waiting to see when the new ASIAD judges will finally be appointed so that our case can be judged fairly.
However, until the political leadership of the sport becomes aware of this, THE MANAGEMENT OF OUR ASSOCIATION DECIDES THAT OUR TEAM WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PRELEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP (and rejects the extreme proposal of some of our fans to join a Turkish league for which the respective association is responsible is). For some it may be more hospitable than EOPE!) UNTIL THE NEW ACEAD FINALLY DECIDES ON OUR PENDING ASYLUM!
Because finally those responsible for volleyball and Greek sports must realize that we are neither second class citizens nor that our island will always be socially degraded, never by the reception and identification center for immigrants – and never wait for the final effects OF THE DEADLY EARTHQUAKE OF 2020 – AT ALL WITH EXPENSIVE SHIPPING AND AIR TRANSPORTATION – AND IF BY NOT PROMOTING OUR ISLAND VOLLEYBALL TEAM!”
