Milenkoski: “Olympiacos deserved to win, we will be better than last year”
Josko Milenkoski congratulated Olympiakos on the win and pointed out that PAOK will be better than last year.
PAOK lost to Olympiakos in the first derby of the year, with Josko Milenkoski among his players’ many errors on serve.
At the same time, Dikefalos’ coach pointed out that his team will be better than last year and that they need time to be successful.
Speaking to ERT he said: “Congratulations to Olympiacos, they deserved to win, they played better and deserved to win. We made a lot of mistakes, especially in the first set. We played well in attack, but we made a lot of errors on serve, and you can do that. We didn’t win a set with so many errors. We were poor in the second set, but we showed some of our quality in the third set.
It may sound a bit optimistic and less realistic, but I think we are closer to the quality of Olympiacos this year than last year. I believe we will show this in the near future.
We’ve only been training with the entire squad for a few days and we haven’t even played a friendly match with these seven yet. We are a new team, so I understand our mistakes to a certain extent. We are a team with a perspective and I think we will show that by working on our mistakes.”.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
