Russian beach volleyball champion Maria Bocharova has been disqualified for a year for systematic violation of the sports regime, according to the official website of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF).
There are no details of the violations in the protocol, but there is an appeal to the coaches.
“To draw the attention of coaches to strengthening control over the regime of athletes during training events, competitions and at home,” the extract from the minutes of the meeting of the WFV executive committee says.
20-year-old Bocharova, paired with Maria Voronina, is the reigning champion of Russia. The girls won the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
