League Cup volleyball: Olympiacos – Panathinaikos on Thursday
Next Thursday (July 12th) the three games of the League Cup in men’s volleyball will take place, with Olympiacos – Panathinaikos standing out.
It’s time for teams to punch their tickets to the men’s volleyball League Cup semi-finals as the three remaining matches will be played on Thursday.
What stands out, of course, is the derby between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, which will be played at 9 p.m. at Melina Merkouris.
In the other two games, PAOK hosts Athlos and Pegasos Polichnis hosts Milos. Remember that all games are knockout games.

The corresponding announcement in detail: “OLYMPIAKOS SFP informs its fans in advance of the knockout quarter-final match of the League Cup against Panathinaikos, which will take place on Thursday (December 7th) in the Rentis sports hall “M. Merkouris” will take place about the following:
Ticket sales begin on Monday (April 12th, 4:00 p.m.) and are as follows:
A) Electronically, 24 hours a day, through the official website of our club (olympiacossfp.gr) and through Ticketmaster.
B) Daily (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.), in the Members/Fans Department office under “G. Karaiskakis” (under door 19-Emporiki Stoa).
Ticket prices: €5, €10, €15, €20, €25
*Free entry to Rentis with your membership card has priority until the seats at Gate 3 are filled. Members enter the park through the main entrance, where they will receive their entry ticket upon presentation of their membership card for the 2023-24 season invitation, corresponding to Gate 3″.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Moscow MSTU in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 3–2 (25:21, 20:25, 25:23, 23:25, 15:10) in favor of the guests.
Lokomotiv scored 44 points and ranks second in the Super League standings, MSTU (6 points) is 16th.

In the Women’s Super League, Minsk in the away match of the 17th round defeated the Zarechye-Odintsovo team with a score of 3-2 (15:25, 22:25, 25:21, 25:15, 15:7).

Volleyball players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat “Nova” and won their fifth victory in a row in the Super League
St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
In other matches of the day, Zenit Kazan beat Krasnoyarsk Yenisey at home – 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 25:27, 25:20), the Dynamo-LO club (Sosnovy Bor) defeated Kemerovo Kuzbass at home – 3-0 (25:15, 25:19, 25:20).
The leader in the table is Zenit Kazan (16 wins, 45 points), Zenit from St. Petersburg (14 wins, 43 points) is second.
