The Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. Yiannis Oikonomou, emphasized in his statement that some are trying to blame EL.AS after the incidents outside Melina Merkouris and the serious injury to the police officer.

Mr. Yiannis Oikonomou states that the moments Enforce respect for the work of the authorities, so that people with murderous tendencies do not circulate among us.

“Following the attempted murder of the 31-year-old police officer and while the whole of Greece is praying for his life, some people are making a despicable attempt to kill EL.AS. to shift blame, with claims that challenge logic and public opinion. He even reports on dark and strange times in Greek and world history.

EL.AS is working systematically and in compliance with legal regulations to identify the perpetrator(s) of the murderous attack on the 31-year-old police officer. She enjoys my absolute trust and support in her project.

The times require respect for the work of the authorities and the unanimous support of society to both bring justice and prevent murderous people from circulating among us. Any other measure complicates and undermines the work of our state authorities and is in radical contradiction to public opinion.”
