Release of hundreds of people arrested over the events in Rentis
More than 200 prisoners from the Rentis incident were released on Friday afternoon, NEWS24/7 reported.
While the 31-year-old police officer, who was seriously injured after the incidents in the volleyball match between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, lies in a coma at the General State University of Nice, the authorities’ investigations are underway to identify the perpetrator – or perpetrators – who threw the naval flare in full swing.
It is recalled that EL.AS admitted more than 420 people after the serious incidents, although the attitude of EL.AS raises several questions, says the complaint from a lawyer of one of the detainees.
Hundreds of people were released
Among those arrested, police are now looking for the person who fired the naval missile against the 31-year-old police officer, although it is estimated that the person in question is among them.
According to the information, more than 200 people – including minors – were released after the fingerprint, DNA and cross-reference process that applies to all.
If some find gunpowder at the same time, the remaining results will be withheld.
In the event that some decisions are still pending, even if someone refuses to provide DNA, the public prosecutor will be informed and the authorities will proceed according to his order.
Intervention of the public prosecutor
It is noted that the Supreme Court intervened in the case.
A letter to the District Attorney of Piraeus requests the necessary measures to verify acts prosecuted ex officio, such as criminal association, attempted murder, incitement to crime, acts of violence, etc., as well as the identification and arrest of the perpetrator.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
