Panathinaikos defeated Olympiakos 3-1 in Maroussi to draw the Women’s Volley League finals 1-1, with the two sides renewing their signings for Friday (6/5).
The greens in front of their fans were better for most of the match, they came in strong and took the first two sets and lost the third in the tail.
In the fourth they came into play even better, they had a difference from the start, they never let Olympiakos close on the score and only towards the end of the set did they lose a few points, with the final 25-21 giving Panathinaikos the win with 3 :1.
Now the two teams face each other in another duel on Friday, with the “red and white” wanting to defend their homeland and the “green” wanting to break through.
* Panathinaikos’ points come from their opponent’s 2 aces, 62 attacks, 11 blocks and 22 errors and Olympiakos’s points from their opponent’s 4 aces, 44 attacks, 12 blocks and 25 errors.
