Olympiakos Piraeus and Panathinaikos are also behind closed doors on matchday 8 of the Volley League

As revealed through an official announcement, the volleyball match between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos on Matchday 8 of the Men’s Volleyball League will be played without spectators.

The Round 8 match of the Men’s Volleyball League between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos will also be played without people, according to an official announcement from the GAA and following a decision by Deputy Minister of Sports Yannis Vroutsis.

The decision states:

“As part of the adoption of the emergency measures to protect public order and security, following the recent incidents of acts of violence on the occasion of sporting events, the Olympiacos – Panathinaikos match is scheduled for Saturday, December 16, the 8th match of the Men’s Volleyball League will take place held behind closed doors.

The Deputy Minister of Sports Yiannis Vroutsis announces the ban on the sale of tickets for the volleyball match in question, following a recommendation of the Standing Committee to Combat Violence (DEAB) in application of Article 1 paragraph 3 of Law 4326/2015″.
