Olympiacos 3-1 Panathinaikos: Red-White lead after a reversal

Olympiakos defeated Panathinaikos 3-1 in a game full of upsets to make it 2-1 in the series of Women’s Volley League finals.

The volleyball friends between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos had the opportunity to watch a big match. The red and white prevailed with 3:1 sentences and did it 2-1 in the series of women’s volley league finals.

The game: Olympiacos was able to break away early in the first set. Christodoulou’s serve caused a problem in Panathinaikos’ shot, with the red-whites scoring a four-point difference (9-5).

The greens were slowly eating away at the difference and with a cannon serve, Grothe’s serve made it 18-19 to overtake. Olympiakos managed to break away on Costa’s serve in twos (23-23) but the Greens, with two errors from Red-Whites, tied the set. In the end, the Paris players celebrated with an attack by Sala and a missed shot by Grothe to make it 25:23.

The second set had a lot in common with the first. Olympiakos managed to break away in about half the set by four (16-12), which held them up to 20-16. At this point, Panathinaikos managed to take the set to 20-20. From there and beyond, however, the red-whites had the solutions and won the set 25-22.

In the third set, Panathinaikos came into play better from the start with Stepanenko as diagonal, Olympiakos followed him until the middle of the set. From there, the Greens were able to get away with four points and matched his capture by 20-25.

The upheavals continued in the fourth set. Panathinaikos was in front all along but the one who ended up smiling was Olympiakos. The Red-Whites with services from Kelesidi brought the set to a draw and in the end with an out attack from Hadava and an attack from Sala they finished the set 26-24 and the match together.
