Spiridonov: “Russian volleyball is the strongest in the world”
Outside hitter for the Qatari club Al-Arabi, Alexey Spiridonov, called Russian volleyball the strongest in the world.
Spiridonov has been playing for Al-Arabi since 2023.
— Does Russian volleyball have anything to borrow from Qatar?
— No. If you compare volleyball between Russia and Qatar, I think that Russian is the most difficult and strongest in the world, — Spiridonov told Metaratings.ru.
Earlier, the 36-year-old outside hitter told Match TV that he had signed a new contract with Al Arabi until the end of next season. Spiridonov’s previous club in Qatar was Al Ahli (2020–2023).
