French Volleyball Team Wins Gold Medals at Second Olympics in a Row

The French men’s volleyball team defeated the Polish team in the final of the Olympic tournament at the 2024 Games in Paris.
The French won the decisive match in three sets with a score of 25:19, 25:20, 25:23.
The French team won the second gold in its history and won the second Olympic Games in a row. At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, the French team beat the Russian team in the final (3-2).
Team USA beat Team Italy 3-0 on Friday in the third-place game at the 2024 Olympics.

Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:13, 30:28).
In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.

The Kazan team Dynamo-Ak Bars beat Zarechye-Odintsovo in the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among women’s teams.
The decisive match took place on Sunday in Kaliningrad and ended in victory for Dynamo with a score of 3–2 (25:18, 25:27, 25:10, 22:25, 15:9).
“Dynamo-Ak Bars” wins the Russian Super Cup for the second year in a row and the fourth time in history. This is the best result in the history of the tournament, Dynamo Moscow has three victories, Lokomotiv from Kaliningrad has one.
The current Russian Super Cup was held for the first time in the Final Four format.
