Belarusian Shakhtar will not participate in the new season of the Russian Volleyball Super League

Soligorsk’s Shakhtyor has withdrawn from the 2024/25 Russian Open Championship among men’s teams, the press service of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) reports.
— With its originality and thirst for victories, Viktor Beksha’s team literally made all the fans fall in love with it last season. We will miss it and wait for a new meeting, — the VFV statement says.
The release notes that no penalties will be applied to Shakhtar.
In the 2023/24 Russian Championship, Shakhtar took eighth place in the preliminary stage and lost to Yenisei from Krasnoyarsk in the qualifying round of the playoffs.
The new season of the Russian Volleyball Championship starts on September 4, with 15 teams taking part in the tournament.
