The results of Vietnamese volleyball players at the World Cup are canceled due to failed gender tests – the media
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) canceled the results of the Vietnam team at the World Cup among girls under 21 in Indonesia.
According to the FIVB press service, the organization conducted an investigation, as a result of which it was found that one Vietnamese volleyball player could not participate in the tournament because of the violation of the disciplinary regulation. As a result, the matches of the Vietnam team, in which the athlete took part, was canceled, and the athlete herself was disqualified from the World Cup.
At the same time, according to the newspaper Jakarta Globe, the Vietnamese team put up two players identified as men to the site. It is assumed that these volleyball players are Dang Tih Hong and Fyong Kuin, since they were absent in the team in the fifth match of Group A against the Puerto Rico national team.
In turn, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) stated that she complied with all the requirements for the registration of players installed by FIVB and provided a full package of documents for her athletes, who was considered and approved before the start of the tournament.
As a result of the decision made, the Vietnam team will not be able to reach the 1/8 finals and will fight for places from 17th to 24th.
