Former Russian national volleyball player Lukasz Divis gave more than 28 million rubles to scammers, Sport Baza reports.

According to the source, an acquaintance of Divisha’s ex-girlfriend suggested that the athlete invest money in installing advertising monitors for taxis.

Divash “invested” 27.85 million rubles in the project over the course of a year, after which communication with the girl was interrupted.

The volleyball player contacted the police, but the scammers filed a counter-statement in response. According to them, Divish is their debtor.

Divis is 39 years old, he played for Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, Zenit St. Petersburg and Dynamo-LO from Sosnovgo Bor. In 2014, the volleyball player changed his Slovak citizenship to Russian and in 2016 he made his debut in the national team, in which he played six matches.
