The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an additional investigation into the case of ex-volleyball player of the Russian national team Divis
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region is conducting an additional check on the statement of ex-volleyball player of the Russian national team Lukas Divis about alleged fraud, reports the publication “Sport Day by Day” with reference to law enforcement agencies.
Earlier it was reported that Divish wrote a statement against the entrepreneur and his former business partner Ion Lipciu, accusing him of fraud. The volleyball player claims that Lipchiu invited him to invest almost 28 million rubles in two companies. Allegedly, the businessman promised a 150 percent profit.
— Based on the message received, the Petrogradsky district police conducted a procedural check, the results of which resulted in a procedural decision in accordance with current legislation. An additional check is currently being carried out, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Divis is 39 years old, he played for Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, Zenit St. Petersburg and Dynamo LO from Sosnovy Bor. In 2014, the volleyball player changed his Slovak citizenship to Russian and in 2016 he made his debut in the Russian national team, where he played six matches.
