The head coach of the Kaliningrad volleyball club “Locomotive” Andrey Voronkov should be disqualified for the words spoken in the final of the women’s championship of Russia, according to Match TV commentator Dmitry Guberniev.
Voronkov, during a time-out in the game against Uralochka-NTMK, giving instructions to his players, pulled volleyball player Valeria Zaitseva aside and said: “Why are you catching this monkey again?” The phrase hit the air “Match TV”. Earlier, Deputy General Director of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF) Mikhail Podlozny told Match TV that the disciplinary commission might consider the incident with Voronkov.
