VFV vice-president Shipulin explained with emotions the words of the Lokomotiv coach Voronkov about the “monkey”

The head coach of the Kaliningrad Lokomotiv Andrey Voronkov, who made an incorrect statement during the match with Uralochka-NTMK, was in an emotional state, but he must apologize, this opinion was expressed by the former head coach of the Russian men’s team, vice president of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVV ) Gennady Shipulin.

Voronkov, during a time-out in the final match of the Russian Championship against Uralochka, giving instructions to his players, pulled aside the central blocker Valeria Zaitseva and said: “Why are you catching this monkey again?” The phrase hit the air “Match TV”. A dark-skinned Cuban player Ailama Sese Montalvo plays for the team from the Sverdlovsk region.

I think he should apologize. And as soon as possible. Although he personally did not insult her and personally did not say this to her face. He can also be understood as a coach, although he should not have behaved like that. These are emotions, this is such a terrible agony when you lose. It is necessary to apologize, ethics says that under any circumstances he must behave in a civilized manner and must not call names, one must not let down the VFV and Russia as a whole. Of course, he must apologize and continue not to make such mistakes, – Shipulin told life.ru.

The VFV reported that the disciplinary commission of the organization would soon examine the incident with Voronkov.
