Cuban volleyball player Ailama Sese Montalvo announced on social networks that she was leaving Yekaterinburg Uralochka-NTMK.
– Thanks to Uralochka for the opportunity to play for such a great club. Thanks to the girls for all the moments we spent together and to the fans for always supporting us. I am sure that I will never forget the time spent at the club. You are forever in my heart! Montalvo wrote.
On May 12, the head coach of Lokomotiv Kaliningrad Andrey Voronkov, during a timeout in the final match of the Russian Championship against Uralochka-NTMK, gave instructions to the players and pulled Valeria Zaitseva aside, addressing whom he said: “Why are you catching this monkey again?” . The phrase was aired on the Match TV channel. The time-out was taken after Montalvo’s effective actions.
The 21-year-old player has been playing for Uralochka-NTMK since 2019. As part of a club from the Sverdlovsk region, she became a bronze and silver medalist of the Russian championship.
