According to the press service of the VVF, the meeting of the disciplinary commission of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF), which will consider the scandalous incident involving Lokomotiv’s head coach Andrei Voronkov, will be held on May 19.

On Thursday, during the break in the fifth game of the final playoff series against Uralochka-NTMK in the Russian Women’s Championship, Voronkov, referring to one of his volleyball players, said: “Why are you holding this monkey again?” In Uralochka-NTMK, they thought that the specialist meant the dark-skinned Cuban striker of the Yekaterinburg team Ailama Montalvo. The beginning of the meeting of the disciplinary commission was scheduled for 14:30 Moscow time.

On Monday, the representative of Uralochka-NTMK Konstantin Panov said that Montalvo left the team, but this was due to the expiration of the contract. The volleyball player previously wrote on social networks that he does not hold a grudge against Voronkov.
