Honored coach of the USSR, Nikolai Karpol, who served in Yekaterinburg Uralochka-NTMK, commented on the news that coach Andrei Voronkov was disqualified for 2 years for making a racist statement about a Cuban volleyball player.

“You know, there is such an anecdote. The wife cheated on her husband and brought up the topic of divorce. And a person says to him: “Thank God, he cheated on you, not in the Motherland.” It’s all about the fact that it all depends on who makes the decision. Let’s do this: we will not appeal the decision to disqualify, ”Karpol said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Disqualification is valid for all competitions under the auspices of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.

Recall that after the Czech Republic final, Montalvo left Uralochka-NTMK. At the same time, the club reported that the reason for leaving Cuba was not a racial scandal, but an expired contract.
