Olympiakos – Finikas 2-3: The attack of the Syrians gave Rentis the solution and the double
Olympiacos revived the ‘nightmare’ a month after the Supercup, Finikas beating Melina Mercouri 3-2 against the Reds and Whites.
The big derby between Olympiacos and Finikas Syros, a month after the Super Cup in Rhodes, found the second winner for the 10th game of Volley League.
Finikas prevailed with 3:2 sets, managed to get up at Olympiacos headquarters and scored his second straight win over the Red-Whites after going 3-0 in December where he won the Supercup.
Olympiakos climbed to 24 points and is level with champions Panathinaikos, who have a game down, while Finikas climbed to 18 points to stay close to the top three.
The game had many changes in scores and despite Olympiakos leading 14-13 and 16-15, Finikas withstood the pressure and won with two attacks from Michalovic and Juric (he finished the game against his old team) with 20- 18 at the tie break. Olympiacos lagged behind offensively but were better in reception and block defence.

Kazan “Zenit” reached the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup
Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

Novosibirsk Lokomotiv defeated Dynamo Moscow in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.

Dynamo-Ak Bars volleyball players won the Russian Super Cup for the fourth time
The Kazan team Dynamo-Ak Bars beat Zarechye-Odintsovo in the final of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among women’s teams.
The decisive match took place on Sunday in Kaliningrad and ended in victory for Dynamo with a score of 3–2 (25:18, 25:27, 25:10, 22:25, 15:9).
“Dynamo-Ak Bars” wins the Russian Super Cup for the second year in a row and the fourth time in history. This is the best result in the history of the tournament, Dynamo Moscow has three victories, Lokomotiv from Kaliningrad has one.
The current Russian Super Cup was held for the first time in the Final Four format.
