Panathinaikos and PAOK won, while Thetida beat AEK

Panathinaikos continued their winning streak in the Women’s Volley League, beating Porphyras 3-0 in the final match before their Challenge Cup match against Tenerife. In the first set, Panathinaikos didn’t find it difficult to build up a sufficient lead (21:16) for the 1-0 set (25:20).

Porphyras started the second set strong, scoring a +4 (2-8) difference to level the greens. Towards the end of the set, where the hosts pressed the reception of the guests with Metaxa in service and made the 2-0 set with 25:23 Konstantinos with polyphony in attack. Thetida defeated AEK 3-1 in New Philadelphia and Voula’s team is now within range for fourth place thanks to the treble Anthouli, Dragoumanou and Aktas.
