National women’s volleyball: Abudanja is favorite on the bench
Experienced Italian coach Marcelo Abodanza is the top favorite on the bench for the women’s national volleyball team, according to Italian reports.
A big coaching name seems to have been closed by EOPE for the women’s national volleyball team, with Marcelo Abodanza the big favorite to replace Guillermo Naranjo on the bench. He is a very successful coach with experience from the biggest leagues in the world like Italy and Turkey.
According to Italian reports, Abudantza has agreed everything with the federation, with the Italians saying his case with the national team is over.
The 51-year-old Italian coach has sat on the bench for Pomi Casalmatzore of Italy, Rabita Baku of Azerbaijan and Fenerbahce of Turkey and has won five European titles in total. In addition, the experienced coach has sat on the bench of the national team of Canada and the national team of Bulgaria, and this is an excellent choice that will raise the level of the national team.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.
