Vangelis Koutouleas died
The news of the death of Vangelis Koutouleas at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer spread sadness throughout the Greek volleyball world.
Greek volleyball grew poorer after Vangelis Koutouleas breathed his last at the age of 56 following a battle with cancer.
The deceased was born in Kalamata, where he took his first steps in volleyball wearing the Messiniakos jersey. He then moved to Athens and Panathinaikos, followed by Ctisifontas, Panhellenios and Ionikos.
After retiring from sport, he worked as a coach both inside and outside the Greek borders, while his true love was beach volleyball, where he was both a player and a coach.
