Giorgos Petraeas will wear the Panathinaikos shirt for the new season of competition, with the veteran centre-forward returning to the Klee after an 11-year absence.

Panathinaikos announced on Friday midday (22/7) the start of their partnership with George Petraeus for the 2022/23 season, with the Greens adding the 35-year-old centre-back to their squad, who had worn his shirt again in the 2010-11 season.

“It’s a new challenge in my career, I’m happy to work with so many familiar faces again, coaches Andreopoulos, Sotiris and of course Roulis.

The overall approach to closing the deal as well as the mutual respect made the decision easy. With a lot of work, health, family atmosphere and without many words, we can manage to keep the team at the top and follow a memorable course in Europe.”Petraeus said on the Greens’ official website.
