Olympiacos took over Freya Olbrecht in women’s volleyball
The Belgian center Freya Olbrecht belongs to the Olympiakos volleyball team, as the management of Erasitechni announced on Tuesday.
Freya Olbrecht will be Olympiacos volleyball player for the coming season, as the Red and Whites announced on Tuesday (7 August). Born in Belgium, she plays with her home country’s national team while having progressed through Europe’s top leagues.

OLYMPIC SFP announces the start of its collaboration with Freya Olbrecht. The Belgium international (born 2/10/1990, height 1.86m) has signed her new contract and joins the squad of the club’s women’s volleyball team.
Freya Olbrecht started her career in Belgium and won three championships, two cups and two super cups with Asterix (2008-12). In her career she has played in the top leagues (Italy, France, Japan, Turkey, Poland) and won two French championships, one Italian cup and two French cups, among others, while last year she played in Poland, with E. Leclerc Moya Radomka Radome. She is a permanent member of the Belgium women’s national volleyball team, with whom she has played 131 games, with a bronze medal in the 2013 European Championships and a silver medal in the European Golden League (2013).
